I was cheated!We reserved unit 29 for a family vacation two months ago based on its location and the photos displayed on Airbnb.The problems started after we received an email the day of our arrival apologizing for the remodel issues that were not finished on the unit and offering us a free dinner (which by-the-way, we never got).Once we arrived, we could instantly tell the email was in no way describing the major issues with the place: • No closet doors in any rooms• Smoke detector not working• Unfinished and unpainted walls throughout the unit• No vanity lights in the two upper-level bathrooms• Power outlets without face plates• Exposed electrical wires• Non-working dishwasher• Faulty washing machine• Both fireplaces not working• Faulty central heater thermostatI would speculate the place would not pass inspection due to the electrical and fire hazards…To credit the manager, once I complained to Kim, she gave us a 25% refund which was credited promptly, however, in no way was this sufficient to compensate the mess we found ourselves in.I assume that at some point they will finish the remodel but this is no consolation for us and underscores the irresponsibility of doing a remodel without a real time frame. Even the contractor staff mentioned how absurd it was to assume they could finish this before the holiday season. I guess greediness sometimes blinds reality…They got away not only with our money but were lucky to avoid a fine from the city for renting a unit with all these hazards.Good luck renting the place!!PD: I have all this documented with photos in case anyone cares to see them.

I have been renting private ski properties for 15+ years. I tend to rent higher-end units. When I reserved this property, it was the among the most expensive places I've rented, so my expectations were high. Unfortunately, I can't help feeling like I was taken. The value for the money is the worst I've ever experienced. I've rented numerous other properties in Aspen Snowmass, so I have a fair basis of comparison.The good: The location is a short 7-8 minute walk to the lifts. The app that the property owners created is extremely informative. (However, it had the property address wrong, which made for a challenging arrival.) The bad: The unit is being remodeled. While the kitchen and bathrooms are nearly complete, there were some significant items unfinished. On the plus side, all of these can hopefully be addressed:1) The shower in the downstairs bath did not work. This effectively made it a 2.5 BA property, which was NOT a good fit for my family, nor is it what I contracted and paid for.2) The floor trim on the first step going upstairs was completely loose. After we'd tripped over it a few times, we set it to the side.3) Many of the kitchen cabinets didn't have handles on them. With nothing to grip, opening them was difficult and inconvenient... especially the trash cabinet. 4) The hearth of the fireplace wasn't finished. The dryrock was exposed as was the wiring for the fireplace switch/timer. 5) The smoke detector was unassembled.6) There were numerous areas throughout the unit where lighting and ceiling fixtures had been replaced, but the drywall hadn't been patched and painted. It just looked bad.7) The kitchen is not well appointed. Because of Covid, we planned to prepare all of our meals in the condo. There were no potholders, and the quality of the pots, pans and cooking utensils wasn't great: Utensils would melt when you cooked with them; non-stick pans were scratched and chipped: there were no cookie/baking sheets.The ugly: The layout of this property is extremely tight. The entryway opens right into the kitchen, and there isn't adequate space or seating to take off/put on ski/snowboard boots. If you have a significant number of people staying in the unit (we had 7), you will have a lot of gear and storing/organizing it will be tough. There is a small closet and some shelves/cubbies, but the amount of space is insufficient. There's more to tell, but I'm out of space to write. I would not personally stay here again.

Listing should be clear there is no dining area to speak of. Table jammed into kitchen literally blocking refrigerator. Unpleasant place to have dinner. Be prepared to go out if you want a nice dining experience.

Easy location, supplies are pretty good.

The management company was extremely responsive and helpful. The house was clean in a great location just steps from the lifts. The space is much smaller than it looks in pictures though, my family of 5 was tight. There is barely space to maneuver arms to shampoo in all the showers and the only way to sit at dining room table is to physically move it into the kitchen floor each time it’s used. Otherwise, house was delivered very clean, location is great, and management great to work with.

Thank you for your great help during our trip at Snowmass. We had a good time and our children enjoyed their winter activities very much. Kim is absolutely a great host.

Lots of room and not a lot of square footage wasted. We used it all and valued the many bedrooms and bathroom. The pool is literally 25 feet away and the grounds were in great shape. We spent a ton of time at basecamp with the kids and it was a 5 minute walk away. Great place in summer and I assumeWould be awesome in winter as well

The Good:The unit was typical Tamarack, nice, efficient, great location and quiet.Kim and Patrick quickly responded to calls for maintenance and help, everything taken care without fuss.Price was reasonable.The Average:Some maintenance needed from prior guests being rough on equipment.The Bad:It was difficult to get the temperature right on the first and second floor at the same time.The fan in the second floor master bedroom was very loud.The mattress in the first floor master bedroom needs to be replaced, it is worn out and very uncomfortable. Generally:We would love to do it again, you are great hosts.

Overall it was a good stay. Location is good fro Snowmass. Easy driving access to all the hiking trails in the area. Only problem was the hot tub was closed. We specifically picked this condo beacause we asked the manager about the hot tub since it was off season and were informed it would be open but the pool would be closed. When you pay extra for services, they should be available. The solution of spending an extra $90 to go to the rec center when we already paid up for this condo was not ideal. Otherwise it was fine.

The condo was clean and the location next to the pool and hot tub was fantastic. Walking across the street to catch the free gondola ride to Snowmass Mall and Conference Center was a big plus. We enjoyed our stay!

Our family of five spent a week here in August. Each kid had their own room, which was a true luxury. The apartment was well appointed with five TVs, a W/D, and whatever you would want for cooking. There were humidifiers for each room if you wanted them, some portable fans, and plenty of extra blankets and pillows. The best aspect of this property is that the pool area is only steps away. We felt comfortable letting our kids swim while we were making dinner. Plus the pool area has two hot tubs so the adults had plenty of space to lounge and relax after a day of hiking, biking or rafting. You are right next to the Snowmass base area, so all you have to do is walk across the street to access restaurants and shops. The only drawback is that some guests in a different condo complained of traffic noise from the village shuttle running late into the night. We did notice some traffic noise, but were not bothered at night.

We had a fantastic experience at this location. Communication was very easy and clear, the location was great being only steps away from the Snowmass Mall, and the unit was right near the pool which was nice for our older kids. This was a fantastic value and we would absolutely stay here again.

We had several significant problems (loud construction noise and excessive dust from the construction) that were beyond the control of iTrip, the local management company. Their response to our concerns was extraordinary. Matt immediately came directly to the condo in which we were staying. He took us to see other options in the area. He even helped us move our things, ensuring that the new rental was all that we had hoped for. iTrip is a phenomenal organization, incredibly accommodating, courteous, and helpful. They genuinely were interested in a successful and happy vacation experience for my family and me. I can not say enough nice things about them.

Nice unit...good location. Great Pool / Spa steps away. Parking is easy. And a short walk to the main base area...now if the hill could just put an escalator in instead of the stairs....it would be golden!

We stayed here with two families for a March break ski vacation. The location to the ski school and lifts was excellent. Everything was great about this condo and we would stay here again.

We loved staying the week at Tamarack#29! Fabulous location and immaculate accommodations. Kitchen was well equipped. Easy access to the base village, especially to the Treehouse for the kids ski school! I-trip management was very friendly, helpful and efficient with questions and responses .

Clean, comfortable and close to the hot tub which was a plus. Walking distance to base village and on the bus route.

Kim was absolutely wonderful. She was responsive about a few questions we had. None of which were issues with the place. Her messages and instructions were clear and she followed up throughout the trip to ensure everyone was enjoying their stay. This place is not ski in ski out but it was a 3 minute walk to the gondola. Took us less time than we thought originally. We would rent this place again.

We had a great stay with our family! The kids loved the pool, comfortable bedrooms, and being so close to the playground at the mall. We loved how at home we felt. It was spacious, even with 8 of us. The kitchen had everything we needed so we could cook instead of eating out, which is awesome for large families. We would recommend this townhome to anyone, especially families. Looking forward to our next visit!

This condo is walking distance from the SnowMass Base Village and steps from the pool and hot tub. Primo location that cannot be beat. Just Enough space for 4 kids and 4 adults. Would definitely rent again

Amazing place next to base camp.

The condo fit our two families of 4 quite nicely. Very clean and well stocked. The short walk to Treehouse ski school was super convenient for our four boys (ages 6-9). The hot tub and pool were great. Close to bus stop to Aspen as well.

We had a great trip with 4 adults and 6 kids in Tamarack Townhome #29. It was a great central location right across the road from the Treehouse and Snowmass base. Check-in Check-out was easy and the townhome had all the essentials we needed for the week.

We loved our family ski trip to Snowmass! Unit #29 in Tamarack had everything we needed for 9 people, including space and kitchen items. Rarely have we stayed in a unit with enough cooking items, silverware and plates. The unit was also easy walking distance to lifts, shops and restaurants. We are already looking forward to our next trip!

We were comfortable and location was great

We had six adults, which was about enough for the property. The location is convenient and with adequate snow you can ski in to right across the street. It’s a short walk to the lifts to start the day. The pool and hot tubs are nice and right out front. There is some noise from the hot tubs at night if you are an early to bed person, but it closes at 10 . Bathrooms are small but updated and nice.

Kim was gracious enough to open her house to my employees who were travelling for work in Aspen and it was greatly appreciated. The home was just as good as advertised and I would recommend Kim as a host to anyone wanting to stay in Snowmass.

We enjoyed our stay at Capital Peak. The lodging was very nice especially the air conditioning as the weather was unseasonably warm during our time there. The communication with the property manager was excellent. We would definitely book another stay if ever in the area again.

We had a great time staying at this property! We had a little trouble getting into the unit due to a wrong code, but it was quickly remedied & all was good. Very nice clean unit with everything we could have needed. Beds were very comfy. View was awesome. We even saw a bear walk by outside within the 1st hour there. It was warm with no AC but there were fans & it cools down every night so not an issue at all. Would definitely stay again!

Home is very spacious and clean, the neighborhood is peaceful. The restaurants around the area are all delicious. Kim was quick to respond to any questions I had during my stay. Really enjoyed staying here definitely recommend it if you are planning on visiting Colorado

Place was clean and perfect for what we needed. Nice Kitchen and Dining room + a comfy Living room and comfy beds for a large crew.

Would 100% recommend this property when staying in Snowmass. It is super close to base village, which is where you take the gondola/lifts up to the ski areas. It is spacious and equipped with all the necessities: toilet paper, spices, Kleenex, soap, shampoo/conditioner, dishwasher pods, washing machine pods, trash bags, etc. so there is no need to buy those items. We have a family of 6 (4 kids ages 17-24) We fit fine with just the right amount of bathrooms/bedrooms. The gas fireplaces are a plus, no need to bother with wood, just turn a switch! The place was quiet. Did not hear the neighbors at all. (and neighbors were there) Hot tub area was divine and literally steps away from the house! We grilled out twice on the patio on the seemingly new grill with ease. Can't stress how close this place is to being ski in/ski out without paying ski in/ski out prices. It was literally a five minute or less walk to the lifts. If you wanted to, you could ski down a designated path to the street, cross the street and you are home. We chose to store our skis in base village and walk home, but there is a ski storage closet at the condo. Have to mention how easy it was to work with i trip. Both Kim's were extremely personable and helpful with all of our needs. They even left us a bottle of champagne in the refrigerator for New Year's Eve! Don't think twice about booking this place for your next vacation, you won't be disappointed!

The condo was well stocked with everything we needed to cook meals in the evenings and the hot tub topped off the day each evening.We had a couple of problems logging into TV channels, but the management company was quick to fix the problems that we were having.We are looking forward to making this a yearly tradition with our family!

The property was comfortable and clean with a great layout. The owners sent a comprehensive email before our stay with all the info we needed clearly laid out (directions, parking info, check-in info, etc.). Kitchen was well stocked, including dish detergent, laundry detergent, everything we needed for cooking, etc. The location was perfect, right across the street from town where we could walk around, ride the gondola for hiking and mountain biking, etc. Parking was easy. We had some challenges with our arrival (problems on our end - not the owner or property!), and the owners were really helpful and quick to respond. Our whole family had a great time and would definitely go back. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

The space was clean and as pictured. There is a wall of mirrors so the pictures online look a little bigger than the living room actually was but there was more than enough space for 4 couples to have a great weekend in Snowmass. It was walking distance to the Gondola and other attractions. I was also very easy to find.

Excellent location as the village with the Snowmass Gondola is right across the street and it's only a 3 minute drive to the grocery store. This property is right next to the pool and hot tub which was nice, and very close to some parking spots.Perfect for 2 adult couples and 3 kids (there was an additional bed for an 8th person). Lots of kitchen equipment (pots, pans, utensils, coffee maker, etc.) and supplied very well with shampoo, conditioner, body wash, toilet paper, etc.The only reason I gave 4 out of 5 starts in the Check In Process is that there were supposed to be 2 parking permits on the counter when we checked in and they weren't there. I called and the Property Management company and they delivered them the next day so it wasn't a problem, but just an inconvenience.Fantastic stay! Great property to enjoy a get away!

Location much better than expected for all childrens' activities & Snowmass Village. We had 5 children (2 families) for a total of 9 people but at no point did we feel over crowded in the room. Our water heater needed to be replaced when we arrived and Kim had it changed when it was convenient for us and never once did it interrupt our day. About 15 - 20 minute drive from ASE airport & about 15 min from Aspen Main St makes the location even more superb. Looking forward to staying here again next summer.

Our family (myself, wife, and three adult children) used this as home base to explore the area and prepare for an upcoming wedding. Condo was clean, comfortable, and well stocked. Five adults slept comfortably with a bed to spare. Owners and iTrip provided great communication throughout the entire process. We would definitely stay here again!

My kids and I really enjoyed this condo. It is right across the road from the Aspen Snowmass resort and gondolas/lifts. As a cyclist, it was in an ideal location to launch off on MTB and road rides. There are basically two master bedrooms (one upstairs, one down), plus two others, so very spacious. Would definitely recommend!

We rented this property for our hiking trip in Colorado. It's located near Aspen and you have access to a lot of the mountains -- you can drive a bit further and get to other 14ers. There is a super market like 5 mins away - you can walk there! Everything was very clean. The place is perfect for doing group dinners. We grilled a lot while we were there. Will definitely book again when I come to Aspen/Colorado.

Beds were super comfortable, location was right in the middle of trails and everything you need, plenty of room for everyone to spread out and the response time for any questions was within 20 minutes and so helpful. Would definitely book again!!

The condo at Tamarack is an ideal place for families who will be skiing mostly at Snowmass and/or with children in ski school. It is just a very short walk across the street to the Treehouse and Base Camp area, a little bit further downhill to the main bus area and the Snowmass Mall is easily accessible by the free gondola from Base Camp. The condo has four bedrooms and easily sleeps 8, or possibly 9 with 3 children sharing the bunk beds. The upstairs master bedroom is a good size with a writing desk. The 3 bathrooms ( 2 ensuite) at first seem small but they are very well designed with regard to storage and we did not have any problem with the space. The bedrooms had plenty of storage space and there is a lockable outdoor ski closet as well as an indoor one and cubby holes for hats, shoes etc. The kitchen is well equipped and the washer and drier in the unit is a bonus. The kitchen table is a bit cramped but we rarely were eating at the same time. It seats six or seven with two more seats at the kitchen counter. The living room was comfortable for our party of 8 and the gas fires here and in the master bedroom were great. We also appreciated the integral humidifier, which really helped with Colorado's dry air. All the furnishings were of good quality, comfortable and the decor a pleasant change from the usual Western themes.

The property was clean and well appointed. It was very close to the hot tub which is nice when it is snowing. Also the pool closed at 9 pm so there was not noise late at night. We enjoyed the Sonos sound system. The ski locker only holds 4 pairs of skis. The check in and attention from the property managers was great. We would recommend this to anyone.

There are no great views but the complex is well landscaped. This townhouse of not directly on main street making it a little quieter. The I-trip team were very attentive and accommodating.

Our family (I, my wife, our son and daughter in-law, and four, two, and one year old grandchildren) had a completely positive experience with this unit on a ski vacation in January 2020. The location is perfect, across the street from the Treehouse children's ski school, within a few hundred yards of the base village with restaurants, shops, and the major base lifts, and an easy walk to a small shopping area that includes an excellent supermarket, a wine, liquor, and beer store, and a very good, very kid friendly pizza shop. The unit is very clean and well maintained, with updated appliances, a very well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, and an abundance of towels, toiletries, cleaning supplies, etc. The kids loved the two gas fireplaces and bunk beds, and having a bathtub as well as showers was very helpful. The hot tubs are generous in size, unusually well landscaped, and a few steps from the front door. The keyless entry system worked great; no need to figure out who holds the keys and has to get home first. Finally, the management team was great. They communicated frequently and clearly, were incredibly responsive to questions and requests, and maintain the unit to the highest standards - we did not have a single maintenance issue. We definitely will stay here the next time we are in Snowmass.

This place was perfect!! Snowmass village and ski school are right across the street, the hot tubs were so wonderful and right outside our door. Having laundry and a kitchen in the unit was lovely. Parking was easy. Beds were comfortable. Hosts were responsive and even sent back a bunch of stuff we left for a small fee.

My family of 4 stayed here with another family and we loved it. There was enough room for everyone and the common spaces met all of our needs. The pool and hot tub were very nice for both kids and adults. The location was within walking distance of all the Snowmass summer attractions. Communication with the property manager was great and the keyless entry system made it easy for everyone to come and go as they pleased. I really having nothing but good things to say. I'd definitely stay here again!

Came here for a conference in Aspen and this spot did not disappoint. The place was beautiful and only 20 mins away from downtown Aspen. Super easy to use fire places, lots of amenities in the kitchen and a awesome hot tub. I would definitely stay here again!

What a great find in the heart of Snowmass! We were in town for the JAS Music Fest and thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this location. The condo is definitely cozy, but the space is well-utilized and we had more than enough room for four adults and two teenagers. We cooked the majority of our meals at the condo, so we thoroughly appreciated that it was well-stocked with the necessary cooking utensils, pots/pans, and basic pantry staples. The grill was a great addition, too! We loved listening to our music over the Sonos speakers while we were hanging out. We also appreciated that there were TVs in every bedroom, so we could retreat to our respective rooms for some much-needed alone time. (This was especially great for the teenagers!) The condo is conveniently located within walking distance to the regular shuttle stops, as well as the festival shuttle stops. It is also within walking distance to a great grocery store, liquor store, and other shops and restaurants. We would definitely stay at this location again if/when we're back in Snowmass.

We had a group of us stay here for a volleyball tournament. Everything was wonderful. The hot tub and pool were so nice after a long day of playing volleyball. The condo was so clean and comfortable. We will definitely be back.

This accommodation is in a very central location, with parking that was ideal. It had the most well-equipped kitchen of any place we have ever stayed. It was quiet and very comfortable.

We hosted the bride and her friends for several days at this beautiful condo. The location was perfect as it was centered between the various wedding activity locales. We appreciated the easy parking in close proximity to the unit. We particularly valued the kitchen which was the most well-equipped of any we have ever encountered (even the knives were sharp!). We were able to prepare many wonderful dishes and entertain the groom's family as well as our own with ease. The condo was quiet, the grounds well-kept and we enjoyed a short walk down to the trail along the creek, even spotting a very young elk calf in the underbrush.

Clean, good location and the Kim's are respond quickly with any questions or concerns. Highly recommend them as hosts. The kitchen was well stocked and overall the place was very comfortable.

We had a great stay at Tamarack 29. Our 5 year old twins went to the Snowmass ski school and it was an easy five minute walk to get them there. The condo is well maintained and well managed. The owners of the management company communicated information about the condo well and are very responsive to any questions.

We enjoyed our long weekend stay in this townhome unit! There was plenty of room for all of us and we loved the pool/hot tubs. The location was great with easy access to the shuttle terminal to take shuttle to and from the music festival. Would definitely stay here again!

Stayed here in late September to see the aspen tree colors. The unit is very nice, quiet, and reasonably priced. Just steps away from the hot tubs and pool. Everything was well cared for. A very short drive to Aspen Highlands for the bus shuttle up to the Maroon Bells. A very easy walk to absolutely fabulous views of these iconic/photographic red mountains. Tamarack only allows for two parking permits requiring additional vehicles to park across the street in the parking facility. Many of the shops and restaurants at Snowmass close the end of September. September gondola rides are only available on weekends in Aspen.

My law firm rented this condo for three partners and a couple significant others, along with our assistant. It was perfect for our group and is conveniently across the street from the gondola to rest of Snowmass Village. The condo was clean and right next to the pool and hot tub in the community.
