When to Go:

The best time to go rafting in Colorado is typically from late May through early August. Late May through the middle of June is high water season, offering more intense rapids, because snowmelt is at its peak. July to early August has moderate water levels which is a more controlled pace and is best for beginners and families. Late August to September is considered a low water season making rafting more mellow and scenic; but many rivers may not have enough water for rafting. Reach out to a local guide service for more information.
